What are your top 5 biggest seemingly unsolvable problems ?
« on: December 01, 2018, 07:01:31 AM »
What are your top 5 ?

Where are you in life (approx age and social standing wouldn't hurt) ?

If you don't have 5 then you are lucky so please at least list 1.

Stuff like not enough money or drugs is perfectly valid but i need to know what you need the money for and what drugs and why ?

I'm doing a little research here and would welcome your input because you are my kind of people. Drug users are some of the worst and best people that i know.

Drug users reprogram themselves and are very skilled at. We know that chemical solutions are highly effective motivators and tools.

What would you do with the money, please elaborate and with priorities ?

focus and supplement my other four areas of unsolvable problems.

in all seriousness i would move somewhere remote, with enough food and water to last several years. a gps phone just incase of emergency.
a jeep for the summer and one of those tank track atvs for the winter.

an area where i could plant poppies and harvest my own opium, and only gather opium from the productivity of one plot per season, which would be sized enough to supply me for a year and a half, just in case something happens; frost, mold, et cetera.

give all my family money and make sure they are well off enough to outlive my ass. have no kids. have no wife.

i would listen to music all day that i had prepared prehand.

if only i had the motivation. But i do believe money would proceed motivation in this case.

methadone has left me so damn directionless and without dreams or goals. it sucks chip.

#1 would be money, as I need it to get my drivers license back, I need it for my living situation, and I need it to invest in some 'business'
#2 would be relationships. I've moved like 8 times in 11 years, most of the time only 2-3 hour drive from where I lived, but 3 moves were across the country. It's hard to make friends when you aren't in school, your somewhere new, and you're not doing addictive drugs (and I wouldn't call those people real friends, because when you stop doing drugs, even if you were really tight, you end up fading away from them)
#3 would be wasting my 20's on addictive drugs. I have so many jobs that I only worked at for like 6 months, at most a year and a half 2 years. Now that I'm 30, it almost always comes up in interviews, they're apprehensive to hire me because they don't want to spend time training me for me to quit in 6 months and I can honestly say I don't blame them.
#4 would be living in a state that's known for their overwhelming horrible police force that send people to jail for any little infraction. Moved back here because my moms health is failing, I spent about 9 years trying to balance my addiction enough to be able to move back to my home state, finally pulled it off, and my mom got sick. I wasn't able to visit for almost 2 years, and when I did, I was there for 3 days and my mom got rushed to the ER. Pretty much made the decision then to move back to FL.
#5 I'm living with my parents for the time being, but my mom knows I'm on methadone, she is understanding of my situation since she's seen how much it's helped me stabilize my life, however, my dad has no clue. He thinks I've been clean since I got out of several month jail stint 4 years ago (and he's never really known the extent of my addiction cause he doesn't really want to know) so he can help me get employment that pays pretty decent, solid 40 hours, but I can't let him know I'm on methadone (he would flip out, would not understand at all, he's kind of a dick the older he's gotten, used to be really cool partier when I was a kid, really looked up to him until I got to be about 18) so I have to deal with the fact I have to goto the clinic everyday without a drivers license and not let my dad know. I also need to get a job that I can get to the clinic and work on time (clinic is 6am-10am, my dad is happy to give me a ride to work, but I don't know how to approach the issue of needing to goto the clinic everyday)

In the scheme of things, my problems are nothing compared to a lot of people. However, it's stressful nonetheless and I'm really trying to stay clean and get back to my basics, spreading the good word of psychedelics and enjoying them.

Thanks Tainted, I hope to build up a decent profile of what's important to our people and how so ... maybe one day we can help fix it or find people that can !

The biggest problem I see with Methadone (which as we all know, is a decent treatment option if you stop craving Heroin but i would prefer other oral options with less side effects like MS-Contrin or OxyContin) is that doctor/clinic visits are always at FUCKING WORKING HOURS so how the fuck do you expect a potential employer will react to that ?

Geographical proximity is another massive issue even if you could get there within a decent time frame. Every pharmacy should have it freely available to whomever needs it because less people are going to die from Methadone than Heroin or Fentanyl (for the greater good).

Anyway, i'd like to run study this for as long as possible so get used to seeing it around; I am not going to rely on data from so called "research exercises" etc. as I'd rather get it straight from real people, friends and people that I know, that i trust.

Please keep replying to these questions and if you don't wish to go into great detail then anything you want to share is cool but prioritising it makes it more valuable and interesting.

If we can work together as a community and fix this mess that is first world 'Drug Law', we have to all agree on what is important and how much so.

You never know who may be reading a thread like this but if we don't at least start gathering some cold hard facts about the bullshit we all are unfairly exposed to and the way we are discriminated then we can't complain.

We are important !

1:) Addiction to methadone, Tianeptine, alcohol, RC Stims, and phenibut (makes for a long day)

2:) Loneliness. Recently my soul mate divorced me only to change her mind and get back together with me and then pull some stupid shit and go Mia for a few days and now she's in jail. I can't see myself with anyone else nor can I even get any information because due to her probation we have a no contact. So I'm in limbo and am feel more alone than I ever have because my daughter is living with her mom's family now and I only see her once a week.

3.) Money /Employment
I lost an incredible job as a production engineer for PCB's. Now I'm looking for anything and it seems like I can't find anything in my city in my field.

4.) Sanity

5.) The primordial instinct to keep going no matter what

Keep your head up man! Me and my ol lady had a no contact order at one time that we never obeyed but the court and/or the police never caught us disobeying it so we never got in trouble. No contact orders are retarded for couples that have kids. How are you supposed to share a kid or raise a kid together if you can't have contact with each other? Soooooo stupid IMO!

Everything will work out in time. Just be patient and good things will come.

1) Child hood trauma  (no fixing that)
2) bad coping skills add that to almost 30 years of drug use makes it worse
3) Ma Age my youth was spent in the late 80s through the 90s and because of drug use I never developed it a true adult.
4) Money having it and being left up to your own devices is a recipe for disaster.
5) Im my own worst enemy trying to fix that one atm.

#1- Ive been in a pretty much "Loveless Marriage" for more years now than I even care to admit... Basically I live for my children, and stay because I don't ever want to be their weekend Dad. They need me. And dammit, I need them.

#2- Constant feelings of worthlessness... Sadness and Anxiety.

#3- More money problems than I can manage alone. My spouse has basically given up, leaving me with the sole burden of carrying the family through (Its hard watching your little ones going without the 'extras' simply because you cant make enough alone)

#4- Watching my perfect little 4yr old boy struggle to find his place/communicate/share/dialogue because of his Autism. And the guilt that creeps in, because I feel like there is more I could do for him, despite my best efforts.

#5- Finding the light at the end of the tunnel.... I'm trapped, and I envisioned better.

You're definitely not worthless if your kids are your #1 priority and you stay in a loveless marriage because of them! #1 makes you a man more than getting laid more than Charlie Sheen, JFK and Sinatra put together. I promise you that your little ones would rather have "you" than all the little "extras" that you and/or they THINK they might care about or need right now. They need you, not material shit. Ya know?

I'm with you on #3 and a lot of times on #1.

Not in any particular order and they all kind if tie in together:

Financial Independence: I still have to ask other for help with some of my expenses and I hate that. Getting better though and had a job interview last week.

Finding Gainful Employment: I unfortunately dont see myself being able to get to finish my degree due to not wanting to take loans and even if I did get a bachelors, who knows if I'll even get a job in that field.

Addiction: This one doesn't need much explaining. I'm hoping as I grow older, the drugs will lose a significant amount of their appeal. This one is intertwined with most people's lists.

Need Increased Income to Save: This one goes without saying. If my roommate decides to leave or good forbid something happens, I'm in no condition to jump right into another apartment. This one also relates to the Gainful Employment.

Keeping out of the Legal System This one is kind of stupid because some might it's totally solvable and you just need to watch how you move when out in public or in presence of law enforcement. Sometimes shit just happens and it could be some as simple as picking up an assault case having your friends back in a fight.

I'm sure I could think of more but enough negative thinking for now haha

money, i'm rent poor living in one of the highest rental areas in the country.  but get this, ad on cl just posted, i left work early and got an app in,90% i'll get it, a tiny, dumpy old mobile home for $665, half of what im paying for an apartment now!  you know what that means?  more cocaine & i still save money.  several small closets that are ideal for growing a plant or three.  parking for 2 cars and a shed for motorcycles, toolbox, and workbench.  i can stop paying for a two car garage sized storage unit, that's another $250/ month.  fucking hell yeah i'm stoked!

1) Money, I have a son now so financial stability is important to me. God forbid he gets the disease of addiction it has been a tremendous financial toll on my family and myself. (Hospital bills, credit card debt, missed income, etc.)

2) Relationships, I am trying to make it work with my baby momma but my past of lying, cheating, stealing, and using has made that more difficult than climbing Mt. Everest buck naked with no shoes.

3) Jobs, my resume is fucked and partially inaccurate because of my addiction.

4) Desire, I am not currently using any drugs, but the desire for anything, everything has not left me. Money, love, possessions have taken the drugs place.

5) Myself, I am constantly fighting an internal battle of saying fuck it or "doing" the right thing. That shit gets old and sometimes I would rather kill myself than continue the battle.
