Ran out of METH and money - got thrown into Opiate W/D
« on: November 23, 2018, 05:17:33 AM »
Ever notice how so many great drugs start with the letter "M", mmm ?  ::)

Absolute truth.

Once you have had a very long term opioid addiction, METH withdrawals can leave you mildly sick for 3 or 4 days.

And i know that feeling, make no mistake !

Interesting phenomena ? Hmmm

No shit?  I wonder if it's more tied to your extensive meth history?  With my recent new to me meth experiences i don't get that but with one day chipping h i do get w/d symptoms

My METH history is only 6 years old but my Amphet history aligns with my Opiate history of 40 years.

On some deep level, METH interacts with or overlaps the Opiate regulatory 'system'

It was miserable and i have been in bed, for the most part, 7 days. I haven't been going hard but more consistently than anything, over about 8 weeks.

Missed work but have recovered today.

Ha, being normal is my new high ... still drinking a bit and occasional GABA sprinkles.

Ugh, hate drinking but anything to be buzzed ... and as i say, No hustle with that intoxicant.

It wouldn't happen to just anyone, only to someone with years of opiate addiction.

No, you don't hear of it and that's why i posted it.

I'm still sneezing and it all goes away with a little Codeine or METH or time ... until the next run.

This may sound stupid, but maybe it's like..some sort of wire-crossing in your brain confusing the meth withdrawal with the dope withdrawal? Weird, but i'd swear I wasn't really addicted to alcohol(even though I drink every day/night) but started noticing I felt really down, couldn't really get out of bed, eat, get motivation to do anything, nothing, without drinking for a day or two...I dunno, drugs are weird, huh? And what the fuck do I know anyways. God speed, in any case.
Hey! Wait! I got a new complaint!

Thanks. I am fine now but as opiate users (ex or current) we all know that we have an enhanced sensitivity to opiates that is evident in our ever-increasing tolerance to them (habit comes back quicker etc).

I'm quite sure that after a run of "ramped-up metabolic and endrocrinolic (endorphin hormone production) rate (should be a word)", i am left with a deficit.

Of course Dopamine is involved as is the recently understood neurotransmitter GABA (that's why severe long-term METH users have permanents tics and twitches) etc.

@Joseph Hopeless, where can i find this "God Speed" ? Sounds like the bomb! 😋

Hahaha, well, God Speed is DAT BLUE DREAM(what was it called in Breaking Bad? I know that's not the right name..baby blue...?) But that gave me a laugh so thanks for that, you cheeky cunt. Interesting about the GABA interaction giving long term speed users tics and what not too, makes sense though when you think about it. Interesting.

I believe it 'cause I have 2 friends that come to mind when I think about this. One of them went straight from eating hydrocodone and oxycodone to smoking meth and claims he didn't have any opiate WD symptoms as long as he was smoking meth. He said he'd have a few lortabs on him just in case but he never really needed them for WD.

Then, I have another buddy that's quit everything but sub now but he used to eat 120mg's of 'done a day and/or like 100-200mg's of Adderall. He needed the 'done but the Adderall was kinda icing on the cake for him. Just something extra to make him feel even better. BUT when he couldn't find any 'done, he'd buy like 10-20 Adderall instead and would feel fine for the next day or two. I know methadone's long half-life probably has a lot to do with him being able to do that but it was like he could substitute Adderall for methadone and not feel shitty or sick.

First dude I talked about. I asked his brother once "does your bro ever take opioids anymore or is it all just meth now?". He said he don't touch pills except for bars so he can sleep. He said "I was sick one time and he talked me into hitting the pipe and that shit really did take away the sickness and had my back not hurting anymore".

I've also had friends ask me for adds when they're dope sick or tapering down 'cause they say as long as I have some dopamine in my system, I can get outta bed and not feel like total shit all day.

Seems to be some kind of cross-over for opioid users to use amp's instead and it somehow or some way work a little bit for WD.

Actually, i have done some careful and intensive research into this.
EDIT: sorry but i had a bit of memory loss and edited this post acordingly.

(I did the maths on the "lab rat" experimental models and i have seen daily doses (at mg. / kilo body weight) come in at 4000 mg pure METH !)

Recent studies show the GABA neurotransporters commit cell "suicide" (Apoptosis) which is a normal response under stress ... this happens to stop further DNA damage which could trigger a cancer response.

But here's the difference; GABA PROTECTS the neurotransmitters and throwing in an atypical antipsychotic like Olanzapine/Clozapine etc. should guard against Dopamine damage too.

Be careful because a drug like Halcyon has been proved to accelerate neuronal death so stick to those.

High dosages of GABApentinoids are indicated and although their efficacy at low doses is negligable, it's still better than nothing.

So GABA agonists are your friend.

Glad you had a laugh !

I love my GABApentinoids, and my GABA A & some GABA B agonists! They are a must in my stash

**edit**
I get 90 (600mg) gabapentin
#90 (10mg) diazepam
Beer daily
Yum.....

they are surely handy "put the brakes on" neurotransmitters.

I am trying to secure a Sodium Oxabate [GHB] script for my persistent intractable insomnia but that will be a herculean feat.

I do need it though.

Hey sk8phaze, you know that I'm glad to see you drop in ! How are you going ? Stories ?

true and false. If you haven't gone into withdrawals then it certainly will hold you for up to a few hours .. but if you are already sick then it's the last thing you should use.

remember that i used METH to detox from Methadone and i did that by deferring my dosing time as long as possible (so i needed less for the same window).

and even then, there was a kickback waiting in the wings (no free lunches here) so i turned to Phenibut to address that problem.
