Summary: Researchers explore the potential benefits of using hallucinogens for the treatment of PTSD, anxiety, depression and other mental health disorders.

Source: American Psychological Association.

Many people think of psychedelics as relics from the hippie generation or something taken by ravers and music festival-goers, but they may one day be used to treat disorders ranging from social anxiety to depression, according to research presented at the annual convention of the American Psychological Association.

I had a friend that died from a BTH OD but he used to always say that a good trip was good for the soul and good for keeping his opiate addiction in check and/or lowering his tolerance. The more and more I read about MDMA, psilocybin, ketamine, etc.., the more I believe he knew what he was talking about.

I've never done any hallucinogens besides eating a few shrooms that I never felt 'cause I was drunk and taking benzo's but I've been seriously thinking about taking shrooms with my wife or getting ketamine infusions at a medical clinic since I don't know where to get any K anymore since they shut down all the MX online pharmacies.

I have had many trips of different sorts and their fond memories are still with me.

Visually, DMT is the winner.

Physically, Ketamine does it for me.

Psychologically and on a sensory level, LSD is profound (and lengthy).

Emotionally. high dose MDMA is amazing.

... and for an easy"tickle"/lightweight trip, mushrooms are great.

But what is interesting about "tripping" is that it is anti-addictive (for me, anyway) ... you never wake up feeling "man, i MUST have a trip today at all costs !" it never happens; instead you get weary about how important the next advice is:

you always seem to remember those that you shared the trips with. Trips needs to be planned (and like with LSD, have some Diazepam handy), in the right setting and with the right people ~ once that is sorted, the "fun" potential can be maximised.

For example, getting lost in the forest, finding isolated beaches and away from people yielded the best results with LSD.

(I used to inject LSD but that's another story for another time).

EVERYBODY ("normal people") should try to find and use LSD at least once in their lives - i genuinely believe that.
