Belsomra / Suvorexant
« on: May 27, 2016, 12:04:09 PM »
I got rxed this by my psychiatrist for insomnia and tried this out for the first time last night.  Weird drug.  I took 10mg and it initially knocked me out but quality of sleep was poor and I kept infrequently waking up, and I slept for about 6-7 hours, also the sleep didn't feel very "deep" either.  This stuff doesn't feel like a benzo or alcohol.  It's weird to be honest, it doesn't have have a "drugged" feeling at all.  I don't think it has any recreational value and I have no idea why this stuff is C-IV.

I'm going to try 20mg tonight and see what happens.

Yeah, very interested to hear more about your experiences with this.  I originally thought it was that melatonin-based one (Ramelton?) that you were referring to, but this rather new to me.

It's been awhile... :P

I stopped taking the belsomra (suvorexant) cuz it was giving me suicidal thoughts and I had a suicide attempt so I got switched to restoril  (temazepam) 30mg.

IMO stick with your trazodone or ambien (zolpidem) or what you have...this belsomra stuff isn't worth the time or money or hassle.

Just my $0.02
