Gambling and Meth = self destruction

I never used to gamble. And those of you who don't live in a gambling state makes me envy you. If I didn't live in Nevada I would have a lot more money. The problem is dope makes me feel lucky and the reality is I'm not! I never have the urge to play when I'm sober because why would I put my money in a machine when I know the house has the edge. And it's boring too, I tried playing sober like twice and it sucks. But for some reason I cannot stop gambling when I'm smoked out because my judgement is obviously impaired and in the moment while I'm playing I could give a shit less.

This is how bad gambling is... when I have lost all my money playing, I feel like if I had bought a fat ass sack of dope instead I would at least have something to show for it (a bunch of good highs). So if one feels that buying meth is a better deal then gambling, obviously going to the casino is no good.

I'm writing this thread because no bullshit --I won 2000 dollars yesterday (August 5th 2016) and I put 1700 back in the machine through out the rest of evening last night. It's fucking ridiculous! When I woke up this morning i felt sick. I told myself I am not playing the few hundred bucks I got left. And sure enough, I hit the pipe and felt like I could win another jackpot. Does anyone else have this problem too! Have you not felt like all you want to do is play after you smoke shit. Out here the casinos are filled with tweakers looking for an easy come up!

So anyways I'm going to post a screenshot because I took a pic of my jackpot which was won on Caveman Keno playing a 25 cent bet. So I'm writing this thread instead of going to play right now because I'm high but still got the urge to go back to Dotty's. Oh Lord have mercy!

Please post your thoughts on this or share similar experiences about meth and gambling because those two vices can forsure be anyone's downfall. Gambling is a beast on its own, but when mixed with meth it is truly a monster!

I know this is about meth but I'm going to share my Gambling thoughts.

I freely admit I like to Gamble. Not if I don't have the money though, but there have been times in my life money was not an issue. I always have a limit and I know when too walk but I like blackjack and when you really get on a roll it can be a lot of fun.

Local casinos never interested me, and I don't buy lotto tickets (except when the mega thing goes above a billion because come on) but I like to go to a nice hotel, even the river boats around me can be really nice, spend a couple days and gamble. My trip in Tahoe was absolutely my favorite. But this brings to the essence of why i'm writing this, if you're playing they gave you free drinks! This is a killer. You can't gamble and get drunk AND not make stupid decisions the whole way.

I'm not saying you can't have a drink if you're at a table, or be a little intoxicated on your preferred drug, but it never helps and because I'm someone who when I'm having a good night, i'll be at the table for a couple hours because those nights I started with a hundred and walked with 5, I'm just ordering a coke if i'm ordering anything.

Sometimes when I'm just having an off night, i'll go sit down at a roulette wheel, play the minimum bet, and get loaded. That can be fun! But I'm doing it to have a good time and blow off steam that I can't get the cards to go my way that night, not expecting to make any money. I always expect l'll loose everything I start with and leave when i'm done. If I end up over what I started with when I started the night I usually walk too and end up even, drunk, and have a cool story.

Sometimes when I am at the casino and I want a drink, I just go to the bar for a bit. You'll end up spending less. Every time.

Alcohol is the lubricant that keeps the houses profits up even more. Try not to end up covered in vaseline.

I had a gambling problem and it was exacerbated by stimulants and alcohol - the worst of them all.

The way I stopped gambling was finally accepting that the money already spent was no longer mine and the chance of winning it back was nigh near impossible.

I lived in Vegas 25 years and gambled exactly one roll of quarters the whole time.  I was too much of a fiend to gamble my drug money away I guess.  Knowing the odds I never saw the appeal.  (what are the odds of coming out of a dope habit better than you went in? - my logic is no better than a betters, hahaha) I do love a poker game with friends but the money is secondary in that scenario, so not about gambling really.
