Prince died...
« on: April 23, 2016, 10:53:48 AM »
Prince died yesterday.  Thought there would be a thread about this here. Weird. I searched ...if there is one I don't see it anyway. Guy was fucking amazing.

I'll show you politics in America. Here it is, right here. "I think the puppet on the right shares my beliefs."
"I think the puppet on the left is more to my liking."
"Hey, wait a minute, there's one guy holding out both puppets!"

Do they know what it was yet? I'm hearing rumors of opiate overdose.

"Prince overdosed on painkillers for a hip problem days six days before his death, sources close to the pop superstar have claimed. The 57-year-old, who died yesterday, took so many Percocet pills that he had to be given a 'save shot'"

savveeeeeeeeeee shotttttttttt

but i'm also going to assume it was drug related.

For the record I saw on cnn, and then immediately after on foxnews
two different medical examiners saying it has to be an oxycodone overdose
well, the one on cnn blamed oxycodone and "acet-minphen"
You know, perc30s

man, what a kick in the balls. so talented. some of the reports certainly make it seem like drugs were involved, but now that I re-read about his last few days, and the reports of him looking sickly and pale, it wouldnt surprise me at all to hear he was battling something heavy.

I know he'd had some health complications as a result of him being Jehovahs Witness, hed needed hip surgery for years but witnesses generally dont allow surgery, I just hope that had nothing to do with it.  It sounds like his health dropped really fast whatever it was.

Im hoping its not drugs. If it is, and Chyna's toxicology report also comes back positive, which certainly seems to be the case, its going to be another patented 4-month-long cnn episode on drug hysteria, with Dr Drew's face thrown onto the tv screen every single night, giving us the skinny on everything there is to know about celebrity addiction.

It's not that they don't allow surgery...it's an issue with blood transfusions...and hip replacement isn't exactly a bloodless surgery...but he could have donated his own blood for surgery...they can have certain blood components...anyhoo they have many rules about it...

thats it, blood transfusions. I was trying to paraphrase an article I read awhile back and completely forgot the reason for their choice not to.

I've personally known only 2 jehovah's witnesses. one was a friend in middle school. he was a really nice kid but seemed really let down by how strict his family was about parties and gifts. she approached me for giving him a birthday gift years ago and returned it to me. I felt awful about it.

If there is any truth to be found in this story: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3555292/Prince-s-former-drug-dealer-reveals-extent-addiction.html

Then i believe the ACTUAL story here is not that he died, but that he was still alive.
We have lost a lot of people to a lot less ya know. Personally? nipnip. I'm out by age 25 if i'm packin a stash like that.
But whatever, i've never claimed to be the sensitive type

I didn't even know it was reported he overdosed on percocet a few days before he died. cited as the reason for his emergency plane landing. not sure how much faith I'd put in the source though. really hoping this one is bullshit. fucking percocet really
http://www.tmz.com/2016/04/22/prince-od-percocet-death/#ixzz46gicwDLH

"Sources in Moline, Illinois tell TMZ, Prince's entourage told responders he had taken the painkiller after his Atlanta concert which triggered the emergency."

fortunately thats not even remotely credible

if this news wasnt horrible enough already, it certainly adds a layer of frustration when the only sources for anything about his recent drug use are tabloids, and they dont use any information from medical personnel, or anyone else directly involved.

I really, really dont want to believe he od'd but until the tox report or another reliable source says otherwise, its looking like yet another painful premature death from drugs. I have almost no faith left whatsoever that this scenario will substantially improve during my lifetime.
