suck it up. get some loperamide at the bus stop, eat the whole bottle, like eat literally 200mg of it, and that'll take off the edge, at least till you get to wherever you're going in the "trailer park state" of amuurica.

good luck. and no I wasn't kidding by telling you to eat an entire bottle of diarrhea medicine.

best advice
though to be more specific
you'll know it by the brand name imodium, But it can get a bit pricey. So off brand is the best bet.
Make sure the only active ingredient is Loperamide hydrochloride. most likely 2mg/pill. The effectiveness varies from person to person, as does the dose. Myself, when i was using i could take around 96mg, and would literally be about 90%. Lifesaver. has a pretty long halflife too, it would hold me for at least 36 hours.
There is no way for anyone to tell you what the best dose will be. you can always take more, not less. so start small. if this is the route you choose, i would spend a little time doing some internet research for yourself.

no free lunch though, their are plenty of downsides to lope. opiate tolerance will go through the fucking roof, and the "dirty" feeling is pretty uncomfortable at first.  but as with everything, its risk/reward.
goodluck

Do you all think this is the type of shit that should warrant an immediate ban?  Either temp or permanent?

I'm inclined to give this fucker a temp ban, as it's a clear violation of the rules (and common sense).  Didn't even have the sense to try to be sneaky about it.  No coded language, no attempt to PM people, no attempt to take it to TinyChat.  Not that any of those are okay either.  I'm just amazed at this blatant attempt.

I'm also hesitant to ban, especially the first admin to ban someone.  I don't want to break that cherry.  I also don't want to be stigmatized as a ban-happy admin.

Thoughts?

You did temp-ban him Chipper, but you set it to expire after 0 days.  I changed that to 14 days.  Dude can still log on and read though.  Just can't post.

If you want it longer, or permanent, I can go in and alter it.

Temp ban is about right in the circumstances-IF he comes back someone should walk him through the rules.

that was Opus who made the right call for banning but set it for a day but we'll give him time to get right first and see if his attitude changes.
