Feeling so much better!
« on: August 31, 2015, 07:00:45 AM »
So me and my BF ran outta benzos ( his Xanax, my kpins) and my Ambian. I just picked up the xannies and I swear to God i feel so much better! After over a week without any (just hard...I know, I need to stop) I feel a million times better off 1.5 mg Xanax! My favorite ophile spent the night but, per usual, dipped before I woke up...we were supposed to go see the new pandas at the zoo :(

So would my benzo tolerance drop in a week and a half? Also, just got Vivitrol injection 5 and still love it!

i'd say that your benzo tolerance wouldn't've even budged. benzos. can accumulate and hang around for a while. marginal decrease.

keep some Diazepam handy for the next time you find yourself stranded as it holds you for longer.

benzos are no joke. heavier than opiates ... *shudders*

take care, man.

You went a week without any benzos from what I gauge, and thats legit. Your benzo tolerance would drop in a week and a half. And con/MOFA/grats on the 5th injection. Fucking rockstar. Does repalcing opiate with benzos make it better? In my opinion, no, but you fucking keep on trucking.

God I SO know that feeling.  Glad you're OK.   Doubt your tolerance changed at all.  Would take much longer.   I fully believe if I ever have a benzo again (see below) my tolly will be back up in one week or less.

I was on kpins for nearly 10 years.   Scripted (well, 80% were scripted, for years 100% were scripted, so year.)

I was written 5mg per day for anxiety, can you believe that?    An old shrink (M.D.) who thought I deserved to not be in emotional pain.  But it ruined a whole lot of shit more than opiates.

I had to get off in six months from 5mg to 0.   yeah.

Long story short large health care system took note of my doc's prescribing patterns.    I no longer had access to anything else.  It was awful. God.
2013 was a very bad year.

i'm not going to let benzos take hold of me again ... and i didn't even suffer anything at all except a massive tolerance to them, eventually.

I have been able to keep from becoming dependent and having withdrawals for almost a year and a half until this last month. I usually get scripted enough to last 3-4 days then don't take anything the rest of the month. Well this last month after I ran out a friend gave me a bunch and then my doctor called in a prescription for valium and I got some more after that for free. I wasn't keeping track of how many days in a row I took them and this week was hell on earth. I've had a prescription ready at the pharmacy but there is no way I am going through that again. I am going to try my best to steer clear of them because they cause me nothing but problems. It took about 6 days of no sleep, anxiety, and burning skin before I felt any better. I had to work and everyday was super busy I felt like I was being punished.

The actual reason I posted was about tolerance like I said before I have only been taking them 2-4 days a month for the last 18 months and my tolerance never lowered at all. Even when I went 6 months without taking anything before all that it came back within 2 doses. Benzo tolerance is a hard thing to lower and I don't think it would budge at all in a few weeks. Your first dose might feel nice but I don't think your tolerance would change much.

tolerance is fascinating because it's ever evolving and conspires against our fun.

there are some deep studies about this in the Tolerance board.

yes, it has it's own place in our forum because it's vital to understand and then to be able to steer it to your best advantage.

I suggest a quick look there, because what you think you know about it will change on you again.
