Problem. Andrew needed a Markdown inventory of system and application details for Live, Clone and Dev so the three could be compared (and compared with the Claude cloud sandbox).
Resolution.
sysmd.sh (hardware, OS, languages, web/DB, media tools, network, limits) and ran it on Live, Clone and Dev. Final version v1.0.1, md5 90fe2348b177e1e29b6535d4712bda6b. Installed on Live as /bin/sysmd; writes <hostname>_report.md.Live_system_config.md.Live_Clone_Dev_comparison.md.sysmd_full_v2.0.0.sh (md5 a87dc1d5ea0bd469ac5c60860d125e57): RPMs, Python/Ruby packages, PHP and Apache modules, MySQL settings, services, ports, cron, non-RPM scripts in /bin, and per-SMF-install version, DB size and installed mods. Live thread config (stale vs report): 4 GB RAM + 4 GB swap, 80 GB vSSD, 2 vCPU E5-2630L v2, 2 NICs, 2 TB/month; SMF 2.0.19 [modified] (DB smf209) plus test installs smf20 (2.0.19) and smf21 (2.0.17); SimplePortal 2.3.6; GD 2.3.0; Memcached 4.0.5.2; Postfix 3.2; thread says MySQL 5.7.40 but the host reports 5.7.44.
Cloud sandbox for reference: Ubuntu 24.04, KVM, 2 vCPU (avx512f), 8 GB, glibc 2.39, Python 3.13, PHP 8.3, ffmpeg 6.1, no MySQL/Apache; allowlist-only network.
python differs: 2.6.6 (Live, Dev) vs 3.8.18 (Clone). Scripts should call python3 explicitly.ldd --version shows 2.12 everywhere; a glibc in a separate prefix would not show in the report./var/www/html on Live and are publicly reachable. Delete them: rm /var/www/html/*_report.md /var/www/html/*_full.md.scp was aimed at 128.199.209.202 (typo; Live is 128.199.200.202) and reached an unrelated SSH server (publickey refused, nothing sent). Clean up on Clone: ssh-keygen -R 128.199.209.202.httpd --version is invalid on Apache 2.2 and attempts to start httpd. Harmless on Live (port in use), but would have started Apache on a host where it was stopped. Do not use v1.0.0.Settings.php for DB credentials, uses them via a temporary chmod 600 file removed afterwards, prints no passwords.
